Group Insurance Scheme

The PSCCU insurance for group coverage has been modified from a single- provider plan to one where the burden of insurance is shared collectively by a syndicate of three insurance companies namely United Insurance Company, Trans-Nemwil and the Beacon insurance Company.  All three companies are duly registered in compliance with the Insurance Act 5 of 2010 and have proven excellent claims settlement records.

For ease of administration, the United Insurance Company will function as the lead insurer acting on behalf of the three. Under this arrangement the company will make available proposal forms, issue certificates of insurance to members and when the need arises settle all valid claims placed before the syndicate

In keeping with its policy, the PSCCU has strenuously sought to ensure that the best terms of coverage are maintained. In this regard there are significant improvements in the scope of perils covered and in the premiums negotiated.  The new household premiums are as follows:

·        All buildings – $7.25 per $1000.00 sum insured

·        Contents         - $7.75 per $1000.00
